2021 Dragon Boat Festival Celebrations in the Nest

The history of Chinese literature extends thousands of years, the study of Chinese literature and culture will help children bridge the cultural gap and create a platform of knowledge and understanding with them that is crucial for effective communication.

This year, the Nest children have continued to learn the Chinese language through Chinese traditional books by theme, immersed in a bilingual environment.

On 11th June, the Dragon Boat Festival-themed traditional cultural activities were held in the Nest. Festival activities were completed by the children with the support of the teachers. The traditional Chinese focus is in stark contrast to the modern architecture.

The events blend traditional customs with modern activities, such as scent sachet making, painting on the forehead, singing songs and learning the legend and myths of the Dragon Boat Festival. Everyone had a lot of fun immersed in Chinese culture.
