Open Day | What is Most Important When Selecting a Nursery?

16 Jul 2020

It is the season for registering your child for nursery school again. When looking for different types of nurseries with various educational systems, parents can be very anxious about selecting the right nursery, especially with so many choose from. What kind of nursery should we choose for our children? What aspects of a nursery should we pay attention to when making our selection?

We usually receive questions like these from the parents:

What curriculum do you use at your nursery?

What would a typical day look like for the children in the Nest? How long is their nap time after lunch?

● What is the tuition fee?

● Where are your teachers from?

However, there are many important questions that can be asked. Those question can be a useful tool for the parents and the nursery to learn more about each other. The Deputy Head of Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery, Ms Lisa Li, who has years of experience in Early Year Educations, suggests that parents also pay close attention to the following questions:

What is the education expectation for my child?

What is the history behind the founding of the nursery?

What’s is their educational Ethos here?

What is the quality of the teaching team?

What is the practice of Bilingual Education? How does it work?

Are the children having enough outdoor activities?

We sincerely invite you to join our Online Open Day on Saturday, 18th July, 1000hrs. At the open day we will be talking about what parents should look for when selecting a nursery for their children. Meanwhile, Ms Lisa will also give you an online tour around the campus to show how unique our nursery is. You will have a chance to know more about our Ethos, the Wellington way of teaching including an introduction of our outstanding teaching team and to feel and experience what a day on campus would be like.

If you would like to arrange a visit to Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery, we are now open for individual appointments. Tours are available by reservation only. You are more than welcome to contact the Admissions Team to book your appointment. We look forward to seeing you on campus.
