T-shirt Design Workshops: 'Wear Your IDEA, Live Your Values'
Through the "Make What You Will Wear" challenge, Year 7-9 pupils designed clothing that expressed their IDEAS, CONCEPTS, and STATEMENTS. More than just fashion, this was an embodiment of Wellington’s core values: Integrity, Responsibility, Courage, Kindness, and Respect. The message was clear: Dare to be Unique. Dare to be Different. Strive for Your IDEAS.

Colourful Creativity Shines at the Nest
The little stars of the Pre-Nursery class beamed with excitement as they celebrated “Fusion Day” with colourful creativity! Tiny hands dipped in bright watercolours left cheerful handprints on their T-shirts, turning them into vibrant masterpieces.

Next, the children transformed plain hats into “magical wonders”—sticking on soft fabric, sprinkling glitter, and adding shiny sequins. Each hat sparkled with uniqueness, just like their bright smiles!
Giggles filled the air as the little artists proudly showed off their decorated FUSION T-shirts and dazzling hats. It was a day of colours, imagination, and endless fun—a perfect “Fusion Day” celebration!

A Platform for Self-Expression
Across the Senior School, the week was filled with incredible energy as pupils showcased their attitudes, visions, and personal statements through wearable art. On the 16th of May Fusion Dress Day, their custom-designed T-shirts became canvases for their beliefs, passions, and identities—communicating who they are and what they stand for.

This experience reinforced our democratic approach to education, empowering young minds to express themselves freely while fostering independent decision-making.

Fusion Parade
The Fusion Parade was a huge success, given that it was organized for the first time, proudly showcasing what we created and how it should be understood and worn. Beyond making T-shirts and other garments, badges complemented the entire look and contributed to the Celebration of Design.

Exhibition & Exit Point: Sharing Stories of Excellence
The DT Department Exhibition highlighted the hard work and dedication of both pupils and teachers, reflecting our culture of excellence. At the Exit Point, young designers shared their creative journeys, explaining "what depicts them best" with the wider community—teachers, parents, and friends—strengthening bonds through storytelling.
