Olivia's on-stage performance
It was so exciting that Year 1 participated in the Junior School’s Poetry by Heart competition. I can’t even begin to explain how lovely it was seeing our pupils in the Junior School delivering poems that they had learned by heart, with such enjoyment and enthusiasm this year. It was truly a sight to behold!
The Year 1s have benefitted so much from the experience, and this will play a part in their transition process, too.
Olivia is the English Poetry by Heart Junior School Competition Y1/Y2 winner. It shows that she can express emotion and find the rhythm in words. She confidently expressed herself and remembered all the lines.
