Nest Show Time | Poetry Reading

In this Nest Show Time Series, children from Early Years will showcase their learning achievements. Today, Jocelyn, Year 1 pupil at Wellington College Bilingual Nursery, performs Poetry Reading called《将进酒》.

Jocelyn's on-stage performance

In Year 1’s Mandarin lesson, the learning goal of Communication and Language in Chinese, is to feel the beauty of Traditional Mandarin language. Children are expected to express it actively and confidently. Children at this age are willing to listen and discuss poems of different themes although, sometimes the complexity of these poems may exceed their level of comprehension.

Jocelyn's on-stage performance demonstrated her holistic understanding of Traditional Chinese literary works. In the same merit, the acquisition of Chinese language will be of great benefit to her life-long learning.
