A Day at the Nest
Many parents might wonder what a day is like for the children here at Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery. Let's have a look together!

0800hrs
Welcoming the Children
Every morning, the teachers welcome the children at the entrance. Before they enter the Nest, the school nurses do health check-ups for the children. The school nurses care about every child.
The children at the Nest are able to do a lot of things. They carry the backpacks, go into the Nest, organize their own belongings and write down their names to register by themselves. The children can have a delicious breakfast to start their day.
0830hrs
In the Class
There are three teachers in each class. They all can speak English fluently. Every day, they tell stories, draw, play with the children, and do many other interesting things.
The classroom is where the children learn and play. They can choose the activities they like and make friends with others. Sometimes the whole class sits together and talks about interesting things in Chinese and English. Sometimes the teachers put the children in small groups to explore various subjects and have so much fun.

Outdoor Activities
The Nest provides various learning opportunities for children. They can play freely in the outdoor learning area with water and sand. Even the Mud Kitchen is also a place for learning. While playing they can learn a lot and have so much fun. The children all enjoy playing here. The outdoor facilities acts as one huge classroom and the children here can enjoy so many various activities here. They can learn no matter when and where they are.
At library time, the children can borrow books from the library to bring home. There are a lot of Chinese and English books. They also love the Music, PE and Swimming classes where they can develop various skills.

Lunchtime
A growing mind and body require energy to function at their highest potential. Therefore, our menus are designed for optimal nutrition and healthy caloric intake.

After-school Activities
The children can also choose after-school activities they like, such as football, golf, Judo and STEAM class. In science class, the children can observe many kinds of animals. The seeds of love for nature were quietly planted in their hearts. They are having so much fun while learning so much knowledge.
Sometimes, the children can invite their parents to the Seldon Theatre in the main building to watch their performance. Every child has the chance to go on stage and express themselves and we are so proud of them.

Dismissal
The children enjoy every day here and when they have gone home the teachers are still busy working. At Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery, children spend much of their day exploring and learning through play as well as engaging in daily phonics, maths, literacy and outdoor learning. This builds a firm foundation that enables our pupils to advance into Junior school with confidence.
